Printing ones own entries

It woudl be great if there wer some other way for the participant to print his/her entries other than using the browser's print function. The best thing would be if the print only included the tasks or instuctions and the persons own answers but not all the other content on the page. 

What would be this used for? Do you mean some kind of personal "PDF" for the workspace? 

This has been discussed before, and then we discussed having the option to download users' Super Chat comments and Assignment answers as a PDF from "My profile."  In the previous use case, it was meant to be like a personal learning diary. Would be interesting to hear other use cases for this. 

Format could then be something like:
Workspace name 
- Page name
    - Super Chat Title
        Super Chat Comment
etc.

If admin could take that from each participant, then it would probably solve also this need: https://ecosystem.howspace.com/roadmap/filtering-on-several-pages-at-once

I was recently on a customer meeting, where this need also popped - when going through the learning results, this kind of "one person at a time" view would be hugely beneficial.

I don't think it needs to be PDF, it could also be nice and clean HTML view (that could be printed).

HTML would do quite well. 

This would not solve the filtering-need which was also posted by me. The filtering is needed when the admins reply to the anwers given in Tehtävä-widget.  We run online courses where the person gives answers on Tehtävä-widgets on several pages. The trainer often needs to read the previous answers to be able to reply on an intelligent way to a later Tehtävä. Having to print a pdf or HTML each time would be very annoying whereas filtering and thus seeing one persons anwers easily would help a lot😊

Thanks for the clarification. I had another customer case, where participants are given one feedback based on all their answers - for those this static PDF/HTML would do well.

So in your use case this static view would be purely for the participant itself?

I am curious if this has lead to any solution? Is it now possible to gather all the inputs for each participant?

This has come up again with a customer who run longer training programs for managers. The use case here is that the managers write many reflections and answers to super chats, assignments etc. along the program, and they have wished to have a chance to get a summary with all their own answers in order to have access to them even after the program is completed - see their development, capture things to apply and work forward on etc.

The question raised again in our organization. Any development on this case? 

Referring to the discussion above: Our customer came across with a similar need: "saanko tuotua työtilaan täytetyn sisällön jotenkin helposti esim. PDF-tiedostoksi? Nyt niitä on vaikea selata tai näyttää muille kuin kaikki on jaettu todella monelle alisivulle."

I still have the need in my organisation when running long leadership development programme. Would be a tru deal breaker to be able to offer this to my custumers. Are there any plans on a solution?

I'd like to add another comment to try to kick-start this conversation based on two customers I've spoken with recently who would love some kind of solution.

The need is to give each participant a "takeaway" of their participation at the end of a leadership development program, especially when they've been prompted to articulate personal commitments that they've made.

Since there have been some recent developments in Howspace exports, perhaps this better foundation will help with the development of such a feature.

In the past, I've suggested the following:

1. The admin downloads the Excel file labeled 'Export users' content to Excel'.
2. To avoid the manul work of creating individual participant "Leadership Journey Portfolios", use a genAI tool to create individual reports as a PDF using a prompt that isolates the chat comments that are the most relevant.

BTW - It's this second point that has been worrisome because of its unreliability, with the risk that the genAI tool might miss certain comments and create an incomplete report. (No trainer has time to validate whether each report is actually correct!) As such, the solution has been to ask participants to take screenshots of their own comments or otherwise create their own takeaway notes, which does not happen consistently. This is particularly the case when a participant is deleted from a workspace to free up seats and then loses their ability to return to the discussions.

Thanks Johanna! This is still on the radar, but not right now, but most likely during 2027. It might not be static PDF, can be something a bit more flexible. 

We will keep this idea under consideration.

I do agree with everything Johanna is wiriting on the need for a summary of all content created by each participant. 
In addition for the elegant and beneficial out put for the participants - If this was a feature of Howspace it would be a great bonus for me when trying to convince the organisations to use Howspace (since most organisations has their own solution for learningplattforms it takes quite som effort from my side to push for Howspace). And in the long run a bonus for Howspace since I could use it more :)
