A simple chart would be needed in the text widget.

Do you mean having a possbility to add  an image or table or something else?

So far it has been a concious decision not to allow tables. The reason is, that with various devices (mobile devices) and responsive design, the tables can break and look bad ...

For example I need a table for a course plan that would be on display (and for editing) for all the trainers. I have a chart with the subject of the day, timetable, teacher, links to material, short notes etc. Now it´s linked to Howspace from Excel / Word, but would be nice to be able to see the content in one glance.
