My customer asks: Is it possible to develop a feature in Howspace where you can "pin" comments to yourself (or mark them as important, for example)? Over time, things are easily lost in conversation. Of course, you can also copy things down, but on the platform they would easily be in one place.
Yep, this problem has occured multiple times before and different kind of solutions have been suggested:
We definitely want to solve this problem, but not sure yet what will be the final solution.
It is quite easy to make it possible to mark a star or bookmark to a comment. More challenging part is that how can you find those again. Any ideas for that?
In slack is that "later" -folder, where you can save discussions... what about something like that?
We could that be in Howspace? In the action menu and under my profile?
Definitely, that would be most logigal place I think, sounds a good!
One thing to consider aslo, if not too complicated, could one export those saved comments eg. to excel?
Over the past few months, we have gathered valuable feedback from the participants in Introduction to Digital Facilitation courses. The feedback is extremely positive and at the same time there are huge amount of important discussions.
I got suggestion for product development, if the user has possibility to mark (give her/his own star ⭐️) to the Chat comments. And then have a list of her/his own starred comments in the workspace. The comments should include link to the original page, because it's important to have the context where the discussions are located.
Yes, bookmarking and then easy way to find the bookmarks is definitely something I personally would have needed multiple time. I want to "answer this later" or "read in better time".
I am not 100% sure if ⭐ is best icon, just because it might be too close to like. Common pattern is "save for later" or "remind me" or just "bookmark".
My customer asks if it is possible to mark once read comment as "save for later" or "bookmark". If you are reading unread comments, for example on a mobile mailing list, but would like find them again, it would be useful to find them in one place and get back to its original context by click.
